Masaledar Aloo Tikki (spiced Potato Cutlets)

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, bread crumbs, red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round cutlets.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cutlets until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  4. Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve the masaledar aloo tikki hot with chutney or ketchup.
