Ingredients
- 4 pieces of fish (preferably Rohu or Catla)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Mustard oil for frying
Instructions
- Clean and wash the fish pieces. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to make a marinade.
- Coat the fish pieces with the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Gently place the marinated fish pieces in the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove the fried fish from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and dal.
