  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks

  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
