Ingredients

  • 1 cup paneer, cubed
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, soaked and ground to a paste
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the mixture.
  3. Add the turmeric, red chili powder, and cashew paste. Cook for a few minutes before adding the green peas and paneer.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and garam masala. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  5. Season with salt and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
