Ingredients
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup matcha-infused ground pork
- 1/2 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the matcha-infused ground pork over medium heat until browned. Add the shiitake mushrooms, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, then add the shredded cabbage and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. This will be used to seal the egg rolls.
- Place a spoonful of the cooled filling onto an egg roll wrapper. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it up tightly, using the cornstarch slurry to seal the edges.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
