Matcha Pancakes
These matcha pancakes are a delightful twist on traditional pancakes, infused with the earthy and slightly sweet flavor of matcha green tea powder.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancakes, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve the matcha pancakes warm with your favorite toppings.
