Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, chopped

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 4 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, cooked spinach, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Place a small amount of the pork mixture onto a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper over the filling to create a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.
  3. In a large pot, bring the beef broth to a boil. Carefully add the Maultaschen to the boiling broth and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  4. Remove the Maultaschen from the broth and serve hot.
