Mauritian Beef Stir-fry
This Mauritian Beef Stir-Fry is a flavorful and aromatic dish that is quick and easy to prepare. The combination of tender beef, fresh vegetables, and aromatic spices makes it a perfect weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add more oil if needed and sauté the garlic, onion, bell pepper, and broccoli until they are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the wok, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
