Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 4 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent.
- Add the lamb cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides.
- Stir in the turmeric, curry powder, cumin seeds, and coriander powder. Cook for 2 minutes to toast the spices.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies to the pot. Season with salt and stir well.
- Cover the pot and let the lamb simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
