Mauritian Style Bbq Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mauritian spice blend
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, Mauritian spice blend, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the ribs in a roasting pan and brush the sauce mixture over the ribs, covering them completely.
  4. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
  5. Remove the foil, increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C), and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting the ribs with the sauce every 10 minutes.
  6. Once the ribs are caramelized and tender, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
