Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
