Meat Dumplings (georgian Khinkali)
Meat dumplings, known as Georgian Khinkali, are a popular dish in Caucasian cuisine. These juicy and flavorful dumplings are traditionally filled with spiced meat and are a must-try for any dumpling lover.
Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
- 20 dumpling wrappers
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, coriander, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Gradually add water to the meat mixture and mix until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each dumpling wrapper.
- Pinch the edges of the wrapper together to form a pouch, making sure to leave a small opening at the top.
- Boil the dumplings in a large pot of water for 8-10 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Remove the dumplings from the water and serve hot.
