Meat Flatbread (turkish Lahmacun)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pieces of flatbread or pita bread

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, onion, tomatoes, parsley, garlic, tomato paste, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions.
  3. Spread each portion of the meat mixture evenly onto a piece of flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and place the prepared flatbreads in the pan, one at a time.
  5. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the meat is cooked and the flatbread is crispy.
  6. Repeat with the remaining flatbreads.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
