Ingredients
- 2 ripe plantains
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
- In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the plantain slices until they are golden brown. Remove from the skillet and flatten them with a tostonera or the back of a heavy glass.
- In the same skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are soft. Add the cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each flattened plantain slice. Fold the plantain over the filling to form a small sandwich.
- Return the stuffed plantains to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on each side, until the plantains are crispy and the filling is heated through.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy!
