Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast, trimmed

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and cumin.

  3. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, then remove from the pot and set aside.
  4. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and red wine, then return the beef to the pot.
  6. Cover and simmer for 3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  7. Shred the beef using two forks, then mix it with the sauce in the pot.
  8. Adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot.
