Mediterranean Chicken Burger With Tzatziki Sauce
This Mediterranean Chicken Burger with Tzatziki Sauce is a delicious and healthy twist on a classic burger. The juicy chicken patty is seasoned with Mediterranean flavors and topped with a creamy and refreshing tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and onion for topping
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove excess moisture
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing together the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Toast the burger buns in the skillet or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a chicken patty on each bun, topping with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
