Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and honey over low heat. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each into a thin circle. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
  5. For the filling, mix the sour cream with sugar until smooth.
  6. Spread the filling between the baked dough layers, stacking them on top of each other.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours before serving.
