  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat well. Gradually add the honey, mixing until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the honey mixture, alternating with the sour cream. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll each part into a thin circle. Place the circles on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown. Let the layers cool completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in the vanilla extract.
  6. Place one baked layer on a serving plate and spread a thin layer of whipped cream on top. Continue layering the cake with cream between each layer. Finish with a layer of cream on top.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
