Meen Barthad (spicy Coorgi Fish Fry)

Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup Coorg vinegar
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the fish fillets with turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish fillets until they turn golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the chopped onions, green chilies, and curry leaves until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add Coorg vinegar to the pan and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the flavors meld together.
- Add the fried fish fillets to the pan and toss them in the spicy Coorgi masala. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
