Ingredients

  • 500g boneless fish, cooked and flaked
  • 3 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked fish, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well to form a uniform mixture.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat round cutlets.
  3. Dip each cutlet in beaten eggs, then coat with bread crumbs, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cutlets until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  5. Remove the cutlets from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
