Meen Tikka (fish Tikka)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless fish fillets, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, cut into rings
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the fish cubes to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Let it marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Thread the marinated fish cubes onto skewers, alternating with onion rings and bell pepper cubes.
  4. Cook the fish skewers on the stovetop, turning occasionally, until the fish is cooked through and has a nice char on the outside.
  5. Serve hot with a side of mint chutney and lemon wedges.
