Ingredients

  • 4 fillets of kingfish or pomfret
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the fish fillets. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, mix turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder, rice flour, lemon juice, and salt to form a thick paste.
  3. Apply this paste to the fish fillets, ensuring they are coated evenly. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the marinated fish fillets in the pan.
  5. Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.
  6. Remove the fish from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with sliced onions, lemon wedges, and your favorite chutney.
