Ingredients

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat the milk solids (mawa) on low heat, stirring continuously, until it turns light golden brown.
  2. Add the heavy cream and cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add the sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands, and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  5. Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape it into small round dumplings (ladoos).
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining mixture to make all the dumplings.
  7. Allow the dumplings to cool completely before serving.
