Ingredients
- 1 cup millet
- 1/4 cup sliced ginger
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a pot, dry roast the millet over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Transfer the roasted millet to a blender and blend into a fine powder.
- In the same pot, combine the blended millet, sliced ginger, sugar, and water.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to remove any solids.
- Refrigerate the drink until chilled.
