Minsk Meatballs (Фрикадельки)
Фрикадельки, or Minsk Meatballs, are a traditional dish from Belarusian cuisine. These meatballs are tender, flavorful, and perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and black pepper.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the meatballs in the skillet and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the meatballs hot with your favorite side dishes.
