Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, beans), finely chopped
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Water as needed
- Bread crumbs for coating
- Oil for shallow frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, bread crumbs, green chilies, ginger paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and shape them into patties.
- In a small bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with water to make a thin batter.
- Dip each patty in the flour batter and then coat it with bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for shallow frying.
- Place the coated patties in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the mixed vegetable patties hot with chutney or ketchup.
