Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add the sliced flank steak and marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the onion and green onions, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the water and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
