Mongolian Bbq
Mongolian BBQ is a delicious stir-fry dish that originated in Taiwan, not Mongolia. It's a perfect combination of savory flavors and tender meat, making it a popular choice for a quick and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add the sliced flank steak and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Add the onion and green onions, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the water and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
