Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the same skillet. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, pour the sauce over the beef and asparagus, and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
