Mongolian Beef and Broccoli (Говь наргины хуушуур)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the broccoli and garlic to the skillet and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture and water. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
