Говьтай гурилтай хуушуур (Mongolian Beef and Carrot Stir-Fry) is a classic Mongolian dish that combines tender beef, crunchy carrots, and savory seasonings for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef, thinly sliced
- 2 large carrots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in the skillet. Add the garlic, onion, and carrots, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes to combine all the flavors.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
