Mongolian Beef and Green Beans (Говьтай гурилтай хуушуур)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in the same skillet.
  4. Add the garlic and onion, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the green beans and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet.
  7. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Season with salt to taste.
  9. Remove from heat and serve hot.
