Ingredients
- 1 pound beef, thinly sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned.
- Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the carrots, mushrooms, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the hot pot in individual bowls, garnished with chopped green onions.
