Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) beef, thinly sliced
- 8 cups (1.9 liters) beef broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 2 cups (200g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
- 8 oz (225g) noodles of your choice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned.
- Add the garlic, onion, and carrots to the pot, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, then bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- While the soup is simmering, cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
- Divide the cooked noodles among serving bowls, then ladle the hot soup over the noodles.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.
