Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef, thinly sliced
  • 8 cups (1.9 liters) beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 2 cups (200g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
  • 8 oz (225g) noodles of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned.
  2. Add the garlic, onion, and carrots to the pot, and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, then bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. While the soup is simmering, cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
