Ingredients
- 1 lb lamb, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 flatbreads
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Tzatziki sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the lamb is evenly coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated lamb and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the lamb is cooked through and slightly charred.
- Warm the flatbreads in the skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Assemble the gyros by placing a portion of the cooked lamb, diced tomato, sliced cucumber, and chopped cilantro on each flatbread. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
- Roll up the flatbreads and serve the Buryat Шуулай immediately.
