Mongolian Lamb Skewers (Шонхор)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and vegetable oil.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and let it sit for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated lamb, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. Serve the шонхор hot with rice or flatbread.
