This recipe combines tender yak meat with a variety of aromatic spices and fresh vegetables, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Ingredients
- 1 lb yak meat, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 8 small tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the sliced yak meat to the skillet, and cook until browned on all sides.
- Season the meat with cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or in the oven.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of the yak meat mixture on each tortilla, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
- Serve the Mongolian Yak Tacos hot and enjoy!
