Monmouthshire Mead-marinated Beef Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup mead
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the mead, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Place the beef cubes in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the beef. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated beef, red onion, and bell pepper onto the soaked skewers.
