Montreal Smoked Meat Lo Mein (蒙特利尔熏肉捞面)

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1/2 lb Montreal smoked meat, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add the Montreal smoked meat and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  4. Heat the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil in the same wok.
  5. Add the garlic, red bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the Montreal smoked meat to the wok. Add the cooked lo mein noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
