Moo Shu Pork (木须肉)
木须肉 (Moo Shu Pork) is a classic dish in American Chinese cuisine, featuring tender pork, scrambled eggs, and a variety of vegetables, all wrapped in thin pancakes and served with a flavorful hoisin sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 8 thin pancakes (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the pork until cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of oil to the wok and scramble the eggs. Remove and set aside with the pork.
- Add the remaining oil to the wok and stir-fry the cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, and green onions until tender-crisp.
- Return the pork and eggs to the wok, then add the hoisin sauce. Stir to combine and heat through.
- Warm the pancakes according to package instructions or recipe, then serve the moo shu pork mixture wrapped in the pancakes.
