Ingredients
- 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and chopped walnuts.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
- Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the pastry sheets.
- Spread the apple mixture over the pastry sheets.
- Roll up the pastry sheets with the apple filling, and place them seam-side down on a baking sheet.
- Brush the strudels with melted butter.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the strudels are golden brown and crispy.
- Let the strudels cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
