Mordovian Lamb Shashlik is a traditional dish from Mordovian cuisine, featuring succulent pieces of marinated lamb grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, white vinegar, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
