Moroccan Mint Tea Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup loose green tea leaves
  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and add the green tea leaves and mint leaves.
  4. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain the tea into a bowl and discard the tea and mint leaves.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice.
  7. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  8. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for 4 hours, stirring every hour to break up the ice crystals.
  9. Once frozen, scoop the sorbet into serving dishes and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
