Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup loose green tea leaves
- 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and add the green tea leaves and mint leaves.
- Cover and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a bowl and discard the tea and mint leaves.
- Stir in the lemon juice.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for 4 hours, stirring every hour to break up the ice crystals.
- Once frozen, scoop the sorbet into serving dishes and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
