Ingredients
- 4 large bell peppers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture.
- Place the stuffed peppers in a deep skillet or baking dish.
- Pour the beef or vegetable broth over the stuffed peppers and drizzle with olive oil.
- Cover the skillet or baking dish with a lid or foil and cook on the stovetop over medium heat for 45-50 minutes, or bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the filling is cooked through.
- Serve the Mostarske Punjene Paprike hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
