Mouthwatering Hyderabadi Chicken Kofta Curry

Ingredients
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup mint leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2-3 green cardamom pods
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken, onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, bread crumbs, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and yogurt. Form small kofta balls from the mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the koftas until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, and bay leaf. Sauté for a minute.
- Add tomato puree, coconut milk, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Gently add the fried koftas to the gravy and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
