Mughlai Chicken Kofta

Ingredients

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts, ground
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and chopped coriander leaves. Shape the mixture into small balls to make the koftas.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken koftas until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, heat ghee and sauté the ground cashew nuts until aromatic.
  4. Add the fried chicken koftas to the pan and stir gently to coat them with the cashew nut mixture.
  5. Pour in the fresh cream and simmer the koftas in the creamy gravy for 10-15 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  6. Garnish with additional cream and chopped coriander leaves before serving.
