Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh mulberries

Instructions
- In a large bowl, gently toss together the mulberries, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice until the mulberries are evenly coated. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the mulberry filling into the crust and dot the top with pieces of butter.
- Place the second pie crust over the filling. Trim any excess crust and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top crust with the beaten egg to create a golden finish.
