Ingredients
- 2 cups besan (gram flour)
- 1 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped almonds and pistachios
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, roast besan and ghee over low heat until it turns golden brown and aromatic. This will take about 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate pan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until it reaches a one-string consistency.
- Pour the sugar syrup into the roasted besan and ghee mixture. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Quickly spread the mixture onto a greased surface and sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios on top.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then cut into pieces using a sharp knife.
- Allow the Multani Sohan Papdi to cool completely before serving.
