Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp saffron strands

Instructions

  1. Trim the edges of the bread slices and cut them into triangles.
  2. In a deep pan, heat ghee and fry the bread triangles until they turn golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add milk, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron. Cook on low heat until the milk reduces to half, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the fried bread triangles to the reduced milk and let them soak for a few minutes.
  5. Garnish with mixed dry fruits and serve hot or cold.
