Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 3 large onions, finely sliced
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and cook for a few minutes.
- Now, add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn white.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the oil separates.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
