Murgh Korma (creamy Chicken Korma)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 large onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, ground into a paste
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
  2. Marinate the chicken pieces in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and cook until the chicken is tender.
  5. Stir in the cashew nut paste and milk, and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
